TAPEPLAS, a unique style of tap dance, music & rhythm, was founded in Barcelona in the winter of 2002-2003. Created between Israel & Spain , TAPEPLAS' shows mix between east & west, ethnic & urban, old & new. Original Mediterranean influenced music scores blend with visual & innovative feet percussion choreography, as dancers & musicians from different cultures move, interact & share.

BoomBach – At the end of 2005, TAPEPLAS premiered its 1 st full length production: BoomBach , which as of 2006 was recommended by the Spanish National Theatre Network ( La Red española de Teatros Auditorios, Circuitos y Festivales de Titularidad Pública ). Recommended since November 2006 (Sevilla). La red Nacional de Teatros - España

By the end of 2006 TAPEPLAS' growth stimulated the adapting and creation of 2 new productions. On January, 2007 the company founded a new section with in it by the name of TAPEPLAS 2, producing and distributing the shows MONKEYS & KexevKezev . TAPEPLAS 2 was created with the intention of outreaching smaller scale stages, out-door events, community centers , schools, weekend matinees, etc.

MONKEYS – TAPEPLAS style and trademark combined inside a collage of diverse unedited composition created for young audiences. Its simplicity in production, facilitates a wide possibility of out-reach work.

  • Basque regional government – Gobierno Vasco
  • Aragon regional government – Gobierno de Aragón

KexevKezev – Created in Israel in 1998, by the company's founders, this children's production was adapted and translated to Spanish & Catalan at the same time TAPEPLAS 2 was launched. KexevKezev became the company's most intimate work and was supported by the Barcelonan official school performance campaign
(Anem al Teatre, ODA ) during the school year of 2006-2007 . At the same time, it is continuously included in weekend matinee programming in different theatres and community centres around Spain .
